Our Program

Each year we propose a number of trips and invite our members and others to sign up for them. Generally the bus will leave from the parking lot of the Christian Temple, 5820 Edmondson Avenue, about a half mile east of Beltway Exit 14. Thursday, April 7
Washington, DC: Guided city tour, with view of cherry blossoms. Smithsonian Natural History Museum with displays on Cyprus ca. 50-750 B.C. Lunch at Pier 7. $65.00.

Wednesday, June 8
Philadelphia, PA: Luncheon cruise on Philadelphia Belle four-deck paddle-wheel boat. Good food, artwork, and entertainment, with a unique view of the city. $87.00.

Wednesday, June 15
Boiling Springs, PA: Allenberry Playhouse. Hello Dolly. Buffet lunch and Tony-Award-winning musical about the matchmaker who finally arranges one for herself. $75.00.

Saturday, July 9
Washington, DC: Musical Wicked at Kennedy Center about the two witches before Dorothy arrives in Oz. Lunch at Tony and Joe’s in Georgetown. $155.00.

Thursday, July 14
Grasonville, MD: Crab feast at Fisherman’s Crab Deck. All you can eat of crabs, soup, chicken, corn, etc. Visit Amish Market in Annapolis. $62.00.

Tuesday, September 13
Philadelphia, PA: City tour with stops at Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Lunch at Moshulu Restaurant on 100-year-old, 400-foot docked ship. $85.00.

Tuesday, September 27
Lancaster, PA: City tour with visit to Central Market. Lunch at country club followed by Strasburg train ride and view of Amish harvesting crops. $85.00.

Monday, October 17
Glen Burnie, MD: Luncheon show at La Fontaine Bleu. “The Crooners and Their Music,” featuring Sinatra, Martin, Clooney, Cole, Bennett, etc., with song styling, dancing, costumes, and nostalgia that defined a generation. $70.00.

Tuesday, November 29
Lancaster, PA: American Music Theatre. "The 2011 Christmas Show." Critically acclaimed AMT singers and dancers are back with an all-new show, with even a visit by Santa. Lunch at Willow Valley. $75.00.

Thursday, December 1
Washington, DC. National Harbor, MD. "ICE!" is an indoor wonderland with 5,000 blocks of ice hand-sculpted by 40 international artisans. Buffet lunch at Pienza Italian Market in the Gaylord National Resort. $77.00.

Tuesday, December 6
Glen Burnie, MD: La Fontaine Bleu “2011 Christmas Spectacular.” Lunch, singing, dancing, and a holiday variety show, with a visit by Santa. $70.00.

Saturday, December 10
Washington, DC: DAR Constitution Hall. US Army Field Band’s Christmas Concert. Lunch at Pier 7. Visit Christmas display at Mormon Visitor’s Center. $63.00.
