Where We Came From
Back in the spring of 1976 a small group of concerned retirees formed a coalition. Their aim was to study the problems facing the elderly in Baltimore County, problems not uncommon to the aging population of the nation.
After 2½ years, an image was formed, an idea began to take shape, the pieces began to fit, and, in 1978, BCASCO became a reality. Fifty-three organizations sent their representatives to BCASCO's first meeting.
Today, BCASCO is recognized as the spokesperson for the elderly in Baltimore County.
