A Look Into My Life and Activities

Why Do This?

Over the years I've been a volunteer with various organizations. Also, over the years I've enjoyed writing. More recently I've explored the uses of a computer. Put these three things together and I came up with the idea of setting up Websites for organizations with which I've been involved.

AARP

Although I joined AARP -- the national organization -- after I turned 50, it wasn't until I took early retirement in 1988, at age 58, that I could participate with the local chapter. I've held various positions, and now I've set up this Website for Catonsville Chapter 421.

BCASCO

The Baltimore County Association of Senior Citizens Organizations is an umbrella group of AARP chapters, senior centers, golden age clubs, some businesses, and others who are interested in senior issues. I became involved through my AARP chapter, have served on the Board of Directors, and now have set up this BCASCO Website.

I set up the above four Websites as part of my volunteering, but they are only part of the story. Let's step back and take a broader view of what I've been up to. Take a look at my volunteering over the years.
